This community service program aimed to improve the production of traditional snacks in Sangging Traditional Village, Kusamba, Klungkung, by utilizing extract from red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus) peel as a natural food colorant. The program involved 5 community partners who participated in educational activities, practical training, technical assistance, and received supporting equipment, including a uli slicer, a rengginang molding machine, and a plastic sealing machine. The peel extract was prepared using the maceration method with 10% citric acid as the solvent for four days at room temperature. The extraction produced a 45% yield, an anthocyanin content of 38.33 mg/100 g, and an antioxidant activity of 80.13%, demonstrating the potential of red dragon fruit peel extract as a healthier alternative to synthetic food colorants. The integration of natural food coloring with appropriate production technology improved product quality and production efficiency. The activity plan includes mapping community knowledge and awareness, conducting socialization and training on kaliki fruit processing, and establishing local leaders and business groups. Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) were conducted to identify problems, explore aspirations, and collectively design alternative solutions in line with community needs. Problem-solving was carried out through the “tree of hope” framework, which involved socialization programs, practical processing activities, leader identification, and the formation of business groups. The results show that downstreaming kaliki fruit can serve as a new source of income, strengthen cultural identity, and support tourism development in Balai Kaliki Traditional Village. This situation poses a significant challenge in maintaining social cohesion ahead of the 2027 simultaneous Pilkades in Jombang Regency. This community service activity aims to strengthen the civic resilience of village communities through the implementation of the Deliberative Civic Resilience Model (DCRM) in Perak District, Jombang Regency. The activity is carried out using a community-based participatory approach through deliberative forums, contextual digital literacy, social conflict simulations, and behavior-based nudge approaches. Participants include students, youth, community leaders, Linmas members and village community representatives as strategic actors in maintaining social resilience at the local level. Evaluation was carried out through simple measurements using pre-tests and post-tests, observation, and participatory reflection by the participants. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants understanding of potential Pilkades conflicts from 61% to 90%, understanding of the dangers of digital misinformation from 58% to 92%, and understanding of the importance of maintaining social cohesion through communication and dialogue from 64% to 93%. In addition, the deliberative forum successfully created a more inclusive space for dialogue, while the conflict simulation helped participants understand the importance of resolving conflicts through communication and deliberation. Overall, the implementation of DCRM showed potential as a model for strengthening social resilience in village communities by integrating deliberation, digital literacy, conflict simulation and community communication to support a more adaptive and sustainable local democracy ahead of Pilkades.
Novy Setia Yunas Romel Masykuri Ika Rizki Yustisia Supriyono Supriyono Dwindra Setyo Nugroho Copyright (c) 2026 KOMUNITA: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat 2026-08-18 2026-08-18 5 3 1343 1355 10.60004/komunita.v5i3.796 Integrasi Edukasi Kesetaraan Gender, Kecerdasan Buatan, dan Kepemimpinan dalam Pengabdian Masyarakat Internasional untuk Pendidikan Berkelanjutan https://journal.pelitanusa.or.id/index.php/komunita/article/view/793
Sustainable development in the digital age requires women’s participation in technology, innovation, and leadership.
