Komunita: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat is committed to ensuring that all authors exercise due diligence and adhere to international standards of academic integrity, particularly concerning the issue of plagiarism.

Plagiarism occurs when an author appropriates ideas, information, or words from another source without proper attribution to that source. Even when committed unintentionally, plagiarism constitutes a serious academic violation and is unacceptable in international academic publications.

When an author obtains specific information (a name, date, place, statistical figure, or other detailed information) from a particular source, a citation is required. (An exception is made only for instances of general knowledge, where the information is readily available in more than five sources or constitutes common knowledge, for example, the fact that Indonesia is the country with the world's largest Muslim population.)

When an author adopts an idea from another author, a citation is necessary even if the author subsequently develops that idea further. This may pertain to an idea regarding the interpretation of data, the methodology to be employed, or the conclusions to be drawn. It may also concern an idea about broad developments within a field or general information. Regardless of the nature of the idea, authors must cite their sources. In cases where the author expands upon the idea, it remains necessary to cite the original source of the idea; subsequently, the author may explain their own developed idea in the following sentence.

When an author utilizes words from another author, both a citation and quotation marks are required. Whenever four or more consecutive words are identical to a source the author has consulted, the author must use quotation marks to indicate the use of another author's original wording; a citation alone is no longer sufficient.

Komunita: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat takes academic integrity very seriously, and the editorial board reserves the right to withdraw acceptance from any manuscript found to violate any of the standards outlined above.
